Kaneland Youth Soccer

Kaneland Youth Soccer Organization (KYSO) provides Big Rock, Elburn, Hinckley, Kaneville, Maple Park, Sugar Grove, and Virgil, Illinois youth with recreational and competitive travel soccer opportunities. KYSO has approximately 50 recreational soccer teams for boys and girls ages 4 - 14 (U5 - U14) and a small but growing number of travel teams.  KYSO is a 501 (c) (3) Corporation.

The KYSO recreational program teaches soccer through the use of smaller teams and fields, maximizing participation by all. The program also allows young players to learn and enjoy soccer in a positive and fun environment, usually with their neighbors in the community and with their friends from school.

For the player who is primarily interested in fun, fitness, and friendship, KYSO provides a healthy athletic activity through its recreational and small-sided games program. This program emphasizes fun and de-emphasizes winning at all costs. Every child is guaranteed playing time and the game is taught in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. After all, we know “Kids Just Want to Have Fun!”

For the player who wants a greater challenge and is willing to work to meet that challenge, the KYSO Club soccer program offers a variety of competitive teams for boys and girls. KYSO Club teams compete in the spring and fall in the Illinois Women’s Soccer League (IWSL), the Northern Illinois Soccer League (NISL), and in the winter at the DeKalb Park District Sports and Recreation Center and the St. Charles Sportsplex.

We are always looking for volunteers to help us with the many opportunities we offer. If you’d like to volunteer, as a coach, an assistant coach, a referee, or even serve on the Board of Directors, please follow the link in the navigation bar on this page marked “Volunteer” for more information.
